This position is responsible for performing duties related to the accounting functions for our operating Assisted Living communities. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements for multiple operating communities, processing of general ledger accounting entries, monthly management reporting, communication of results to management and joint venture partners, and other general accounting functions.
Direct contact with Executive Directors, operations staff, management and joint venture partners to ensure accurate and timely communication of information and financial results
Maintain the general ledger for each operating community including the monthly review and closing
Prepare and distribute the monthly financial statements and other management reports for each operating community
Prepare and distribute monthly reporting packages to joint venture partners
Review invoices for each operating community
Prepare intercompany reconciliations and settlement of amounts monthly
Complete monthly and quarterly account reconciliations on a timely basis
Process weekly accounts payable check runs
Prepare various entries for all communities, as assigned
Prepare Health Center CAM reconciliations, when applicable
Assist with internal (SOX) and external audits
Assist with personal property tax returns
Assist with other accounting duties as needed for cross-training of tasks
Prepare and complete special reports / projects as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of five years related accounting experience
High accuracy and detail oriented
Computer proficiency, including Windows, Excel, Word
Team player and organized
Ability to perform duties in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Flexible and able to manage changing priorities
Self-motivated and able to handle projects with limited direction
Computer proficiency with Timberline accounting system preferred
