Financial planners play a key role with client and prospective client engagement. They work closely with our wealth advisors and other members of the firm to develop and implement client recommendations around all areas of the financial planning process. They help develop and present financial plans and proposals for existing clients, as well as prospective clients of the firm. They participate actively with the financial planning team and wealth management committee. They also attend and participate in other firm level committee meetings, business development training and firm sponsored continuing education.
The firm invests significantly in our financial planners and their development with the expectation that their career will advance towards that of a wealth advisor with a book of business or as a senior member of the financial planning team. Financial planners will have opportunities to participate in other areas of the business as part of their training, including time spent with the investment, trading, operations and client service teams.
Data entry for cash flow modeling and other related financial analyses for clients and prospective clients of the firm.
Schedule and participate in brainstorm meetings with wealth advisors and senior planners to discuss client situations, planning opportunities and investment recommendations.
Help develop recommendations and action plans around all areas of the financial planning process for clients and prospective clients, including retirement planning, education funding, investment policy, estate planning, insurance and asset protection, income tax planning, employee benefits, concentrated wealth, charitable strategies and other items that impact a client’s or prospective client’s financial goals.
Attend, observe and take notes for client and prospective client meetings.
Help wealth advisors implement recommendations and action plans, as guided by the wealth advisor or senior planner.
Work with the financial planning team and other members of the firm to help document firm best practices.
Wealth Management Committee
Help research ideas and prepare materials for presentation and discussion at Wealth Management Committee meetings, which includes all senior wealth advisors and other key members of the firm.
Proactive and strong work ethic
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, CRM Database, Document Management software, eMoney or other Financial Planning software a plus
Strong writing skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to work well in a team environment
