The ABM Enterprise Service Center is looking for a self-motivated individual with strong technical accounting skills who wants to grow and take their career to the next level. This person will be given an opportunity to have hands-on experience in the day-to-day transactional accounting function of ABM within a shared service environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages and drives the monthly close process for ABM general ledgers
Supervises Staff and Sr. Accountants
Apply technical accounting expertise to facilitate internal audits and support external audit preparation
Reviews and approves monthly journal entries
Performs journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
Ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting for leases across ABM under the new IFRS16 accounting standards utilizing the CoStar lease database.
Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Support the delivery of Finance improvement initiatives and implementation of internal and external best practices to enhance process efficiencies
Identify where financial controls are not operating as required and drive remediation.
Assist with preparation and review of Quarterly and Annual Reports on Form 10-Q/K
Works well under pressure in a high volume and fast paced environment
Ability to communicate and collaborate with FP&A partners and other internal customers
Provides professional customer service to internal and external customers
Prepares and/or reviews the period ending reports (FA, QES, YES) to the external reporting team
Special projects and other duties as assigned

4 year college degree in Accounting is required
Minimum of 4 - 7 years public accounting or industry accounting experience required
Supervisory and management experience desired
Knowledge of Oracle Accounting software highly preferred
Knowledge of CoStar Real Estate Manager software highly preferred
Must be familiar with GAAP accounting rules including lease accounting standards
Strong analytical skills, excel skills and attention to details
Possess a positive attitude with a strong desire to learn
Experience in leading and developing a small team with a wide variation in experience levels, abilities and deliverables
Commitment to teamwork through relationship-building, reliability, and collaboration Strong communication skills and ability to work with different management levels
Ability to work within deadlines in a fast-paced environment
