Senior Tax Accountant

Our firm is currently seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with multi-state preparation experience. International experience is a plus. A successful candidate will have completed 2 plus years in the practice of public accountancy where they were responsible for all aspects of federal and state tax compliance, tax planning and analyzing tax law. An ideal candidate will possess the desire to become involved in all aspects of public accounting, have strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills and have the ability to learn new skills. In this role, you will also review returns prepared by staff accountants for accuracy and completion. Applicants should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, and their CPA credential or candidacy.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare/review simple to moderately complex individual, trust, corporate, partnership, and S-Corp income tax returns as well as state income tax returns
• Prepare simple to moderately complex amended returns.
• Prepare extension estimates and tax projections
• Prepare response letters to federal and state tax notices
• Assist with federal and state tax audits
• Perform tax research, staying up to date on changes
