  • Completes the daily, monthly and year end general accounting processes, including the satisfaction of all internal and external needs for financial information.
  • Prepares journal entries and monthly accruals that require a high attention to detail.
  • Manages month end close process to ensure conformity to close schedule.
  • Completes reconciliation and analysis of complex balance sheet accounts.
  • Works closely with corporate accounting team to ensure accounting policies are consistently applied.
  • Successfully collaborates with both financial and operational business unit leaders to ensure the accounting records properly reflect the operating results.
  • Presents financial results to both business unit and group management on a periodic basis.
  • Manages multiple deadlines and responds quickly to management requests.
  • Ensures adherence to and effectiveness of SOX in own area of responsibility.
  • Facilitates internal and external audit needs.
  • Researches and applies technical US GAAP requirements. Other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated self-starter. Motivated to pursue resources and gather information and decisions needed to complete assignments. Exceptional judgement and ability to resolve problems and issues with little guidance.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel required. Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills. Comfortable interacting with and presenting to various levels and groups of employees.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a fast pace environment; demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

 

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field. CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of overall general accounting experience with a public company.
