The Senior Accounting Manager Assists in the management of the Accounting Department which includes; financial statements, annual budget preparation, annual audit, grant accounting, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Accounts Payable & Taxes Payable

  • Prepare check requests for film license fees.
  • Prepare monthly sales tax and TABC reports.
  • Prepare monthly hotel occupancy tax reports.

Accounts Receivable

  • Review monthly A/R reconciliations and aging schedules

Cash Control

  • Responsible for all income distribution generated by the ticketing system and remote registers
  • Ensure that all funds earned are received by the ticketing system and remote registers 
  • Audit vault and petty cash periodically

Cash Management

  • Prepare bank reconciliations on all accounts
  • Review and approve all G/L bank adjusting entries
  • Review cash flow on a daily basis

Cost Accounting

  • Review month-end inventories and prepare related G/L entries
  • Review departmental financial statements for proper matching of income and expense

Additional

  • Responsible for monthly grant installment requests
  • Responsible for year-end grant reports, including annual, preliminary final, and final reports
  • Prepare quarterly and annual reports for Island Star Performances
  • Prepare ASCAP, BMI & SESAC reports.
  • Assist the CFO with the preparation of the Annual Budget

Requirements

  • CPA certification required
  • At least five (5) years in a computerized accounting office environment required
  • Must be extremely proficient in MS Excel
  • Must be reliable, detail-oriented and well-organized
  • Must have the ability to multi-task while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must have a firm grasp of accounting and business concepts
  • Must be able to calculate figures and amounts for all bookkeeping, payroll, budgets, statistical analysis and probability statements
